SC School Water Fountain Install
Upgraded water fountains and bottle filling stations now provide 1,000 South Carolina students with safe, lead-free water—made possible by Xylem’s Walk for Water fundraiser and community partners.
When students lack adequate hydration throughout the day, it impacts how they can focus and learn.
Through funds raised through our 2023 Walk For Water Team Challenge, we were able to help an under-resourced school in South Carolina upgrade their drinking water fountains and install new water bottle filling stations. The 1,000 students in the elementary, middle and high schools can now drink safe, lead-free water. In addition, we helped educate the 3rd grade students on water and worked with the 5th grade students to construct planter boxes and plant a garden.
The project had a lot of helping hands and we couldn’t have done this without the multiple partners involved, including our channel partner JMP.
