Mexico City and Monterrey: smart upgrades with Xylem Vue and Amazon to save more than 1.3 billion liters annually
Residents in Mexico City and Monterrey will soon enjoy more reliable water supply thanks to innovative infrastructure upgrades that will save over 1.3 billion liters of water per year. The two cities are partnering with Xylem and Amazon to deploy Xylem Vue, leveraging data and advanced analytics to detect leaks, cut water losses, and improve water supply for residents. These projects are estimated to save around 800 million liters of water per year in Mexico City and 560 million liters in Monterrey. In Mexico City, where around 9 million people rely on the municipal water network, up to 40% of the water is wasted through leaks before it reaches the consumer.
