The Morrisville team came together to help their local communities during COVID-19. Once schools and offices closed in early March due to the pandemic, the first thing that came to their mind was that children and families would be effected immediately by not having access to at least one to two meals a day normally provided by the schools.
The question then became, how could they make an impact right now? After doing a little research, they created a virtual food drive with the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina to help their most vulnerable—the senior citizens and children (and their families) who were losing the daily school meals they rely on due to school closures.
The teams were eager to get involved while still maintaining the social distancing guidelines. Although they couldn’t physically assist with the food drive and distribution of goods, they were able to raise funds that would enable the food bank to continue their work.
Now that’s what we call teamwork!!
