Introduction to Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF)

Xylem designs and manufactures dissolved air flotation (DAF) systems. These are utilized in the oil and gas industry (in the Permian basin, for example), in food and beverage wastewater applications, and other heavy industrial wastewater treatment processes. A DAF system floats oils, greases, and some contaminants to the surface and skims away the sludge leaving cleaner water for further treatment. Additionally, we provide the pumps, pipes, and skilled personnel necessary to efficiently move and treat effluent with the highest level of expertise.
