THE ROLE: The Warranty Technician will be responsible for performing root cause analysis of both electrical and mechanical analysis on customer returned products.  In this role, the incumbent will also be confirming, and identifying a wide range of failure mechanisms of all Xylem products, as required. The initial focus will be on 4” Centri Pro motors and controls including initial applications and units returned from the field. Customer interface will be in the form of either factory schools or verbal an email. We offer a full benefits package to include 4 WEEKS Paid Time Off (PTO) for hourly positions, health, dental, vision, investment savings plan, and other additional miscellaneous benefits.  Xylem will provide paid training for CDL upgrades (if applicable).   

 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:  To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   

  • Maintain central database on product failures. 
  • Work with QA, Product Engineering and Product Management to provide feedback on failure modes. 
  • Reduce time to perform inspections and relay findings to Claims Dept 
  • Improve quality of non-conforming products by establishing failure analysis and obtaining corrective action 
  • Serve as Safety lead for daily meeting, if needed 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Associate Degree in electromechanical field or related experience 
  • 2+ years’ related experience
