As the renowned global leader in geographic information systems, Xylem is a Platinum partner of Esri, helping to enable Xylem’s transformation to digital solutions and services. Through joint collaboration on technology roadmaps and solution development, Esri and Xylem are working together on new innovative ways to integrate, visualize and analyze multiple sources of data for new solutions across the water network. Joint customer engagements are underway across clean water and wastewater systems, as well as environmental monitoring, dewatering applications, and water equity solutions.

Dragos, the global leader in cybersecurity for industrial control systems (ICS) / operational technology (OT) environments, has partnered with Xylem to bring best-in-class industrial cybersecurity to critical infrastructure in the water sector. The agreement will see Xylem and Dragos offering co-branded incident response and incident prevention services to Xylem’s water utility customers worldwide. The Xylem-Dragos Incident Response Service builds on Xylem’s robust product security framework, and works in conjunction with utilities’ existing security systems, providing an extra layer of protection. The partnership can also deliver both proactive threat hunting in addition to rapid response, increasing uptime and operational certainty.

We know that entrepreneurs create amazing technologies every day, and our mission at Xylem Innovation Labs is to work together to bring these innovations to market to ensure a water-secure world.
In 2021, Xylem deepened its commitment to Imagine H2O, the leading water innovation accelerator and ecosystem for water entrepreneurs, including expanding our support to Imagine H2O’s startup Accelerator and joining as the newest partner to Imagine H2O Asia. Xylem Innovation Labs will work across Imagine H2O’s programs to support entrepreneurs pioneering sustainable solutions to the water challenges facing communities and businesses. Imagine H2O’s track record of supporting digital water solutions, combined with Xylem’s technology leadership, is central to this new partnership.
Arizona State University (ASU):
Xylem is collaborating with Arizona State University to address some of the world’s most difficult water challenges. Xylem and Arizona State University both highly value sustainability and innovation and this industry-academic partnership enables both institutions to develop progressive solutions that help meet sustainability goals as well as provide global good. Current research areas include resource recovery from water treatment processes, methods to address contaminants of emerging concern, and cybersecurity.
Xylem Technology Hub Singapore:
In January 2020, Xylem launched a new multi-disciplinary center for water, wastewater and energy technologies at the regional headquarters in Singapore. The Hub represents a continued investment in sustainable water technologies, and research at the new center focuses on developing breakthrough technologies in water distribution and water and wastewater treatment. Additionally, the Hub features a customer experience center and training center. Currently, several technology advances are underway in partnership with the Singapore innovation ecosystem.
JWAFS at MIT:
In 2016 Xylem became a founding sponsor of the Abdul Latif Jameel Water and Food Systems Lab (J-WAFS) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. This collaboration puts Xylem at the forefront of research breakthroughs, disruptive ideas, and new startup creation. In 2020, research areas included technology to improve centrifugal pump efficiency, chemical sensing in water and novel high efficiency drip irrigation systems.
LIFE PRISTINE Project:
Xylem is a consortium member on the LIFE PRISTINE project, which is working to integrate adsorption, membrane filtration, advanced oxidation processes (AOPs) and artificial intelligence tools to create a cost-effective solution for eliminating contaminants of emerging concern (CECs) in drinking and wastewater. The work, carried out with the project partners ACCIONA, Eurecat, NX Filtration and ESAMUR, will demonstrate the potential of UV-LEDs and the role of Xylem’s technology in removing CECs from the water cycle, helping to create sustainable future.
