We are looking for an experienced and versatile Mechanical Fitter to join our service team based at our Mt Isa branch.  The Mechanical Fitter will carry out maintenance, emergency service work and product repairs on our state-of-the-art product range. 

You will have a passion for customer service and thrive working as part of a team.  This role will see no two days the same as you: 

  • Complete routine & emergency assessment and service/repair on our pumps and rental fleet across our leading brands including Flygt and Godwin Diesel and Electric pump sets both on-site and in our service workshop. 
  • Clean, strip, overhaul customer pump sets and products, as well as provide assessment reports to the business service coordinator who will provide a quotation to customers
  • Read, interpret and retain, instructions and technical drawings 
  • Inspect and test products prior to dispatch
  • Maintain documentation and reports consistent with company policies, procedures and safety requirements
  • Provide timely and accurate advice and support to staff and customers

To be successful in this role you will be an experienced mechanical fitter and be trade qualified with a keen interest in developing your skills.  You will have experience working with pumps or come from an engineering environment.  You will have a Medium Rigid licence, a forklift licence and confined spaces permit or the willingness to obtain.  Your keen eye for detail, great attitude, solid time management and exceptional communication skills (both written and spoken) will see you succeed.
