Mine Slurry

Slurry is a mixture of solids and liquid, generally water. Slurry can be divided into settling and non-settling types: non-settling slurry can be defined as a homogenous mixture, while settling slurry can be defined as pseudo-homogenous or heterogenous mixture or partly stratified.

Whether you’re quarry dredging, cleaning a pump basin from settled solid, or sump pumping in a concrete recycling plant, slurry pumping is a critical part of mining operations and mineral processing.

Slurry pumps are a heavy and robust version of centrifugal pumps, capable of handling tough and abrasive duties. Three main types of pumps are used for slurry pumping:

  • Horizontal slurry pumps
  • Vertical slurry pumps
  • Submersible slurry pumps

Our patented, self-cleaning slurry pumps set a high standard for clog-free operation and solids control, while intelligent pump functionalities and advanced monitoring and control equipment help it adapt to operating conditions in real time to deliver sustained high efficiency and long-term reliability at lower, more predictable costs.
