The Role: Xylem seeks to hire a Warehouse Supervisor. The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for the daily operation of the warehouse, including proper receipt and timely processing of all incoming receipts, proper layout and labeling of all locations, and proper timing of all transactions; systematically and physically.  This position is also responsible for maintaining a high level of inventory record accuracy, supervising material handling personnel, and reporting the daily and weekly operational metrics required.   

Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:                     

  • Direct supervision of stockroom personnel responsible for receiving, inventory, material handling, etc.
  • Maintain high quality staff and take quick action to address employee performance issues as required.
  • Provide job satisfaction and a sense of accomplishment in an effort to keep morale high and productivity moving in a positive direction.
  • Maintain high level of teamwork and employee morale.
  • Material receiving – process receipts from external suppliers by the end of each day.  No receipts left unprocessed.  Process receipts from production by the end of each day as well.
  • Manage consistently high inventory record accuracy at 95% or better through continued assessment of material handling processes and procedures and employee performance, daily management of inventory record accuracy.    Accuracy is measured through the daily Cycle Count process.
  • Quality process management by maintaining consistently high emphasis on quality of processes and procedures.  Insistence on excellent customer service for internal and external customers.
  • Develop and maintain a safe and well organized workplace, and ensure that all Best Practices and safety initiatives are followed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field with 2 years of materials management experience in a similar manufacturing environment, or equivalent education and experience combination.
  • Problem solving skills and strong written and verbal communication skills required 
  • Solid background in Stockroom management techniques and the ability to establish accountability through measurement.
  • Working knowledge of Cycle Count methodology complimented with an understanding of integrated business systems.
  • Must be knowledgeable in MS Office applications and ERP.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of Cycle Count methodology complimented with an understanding of integrated business systems.
  • Experience with ERPLx a plus.
