Senior Engineering Technician (Workshop)

This includes all customer repairs, hire repairs, warranty work and the receipt of parts. Managing an efficient repair service and a clean and tidy workshop. Support the Company in maintaining the highest possible standards of Health and Safety at Work, in accordance with current legislation and policies laid down by the Company.
Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:
- Clean, strip and report on all repair related equipment, providing sufficient information to quote.
- Booking in pumps and materials returned to the service centre.
- Request ordering of spare parts
- Complete workshop job card listing parts required for repair to enable a quotation to be completed.
- Rebuild equipment, test and paint and report.
- Produce written reports suitable for supplying direct to the customer.
- Maintain records of repairs and provide forward planning information relating to workload.
- Maintain sufficient consumables to operate the workshop at all times.
- To undertake additional duties as required, commensurate with the level of the job.
- Acts as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience
- Guide and supports junior team members; may assist in their formal training
