Here we explain why the Jabsco Lite Flush marine toilet cannot be connected to a pressurized freshwater system.
Jeff: Thanks for watching jabscotech.com. I'm Jeff Lander.
Mike: And I’m Mike Irving.
Jeff: And today we're talking about the Lite Flush toilet. We get questions from time to time; can the Lite Flush toilet be hooked to a pressurized freshwater system? Mike?
Mike: It cannot. It's got a little diaphragm pump that sucks water from the outside of the vessel up to rinse the bowl. Now, diaphragm pumps you can't put pressurized water on the intake side because it bypasses the pump and it ends up in the toilet bowl. The big thing is you’ll just keep flushing water in there and you'll empty out your freshwater tank and end up coming up your wastewater tank so no.
Jeff: Yeah, you know, that's a pretty simple answer, Mike. And you know, just to remember, the Lite Flush was designed to be a direct replacement for the manual toilet. The manual toilet was a raw water toilet only; same thing applies with our Lite Flush.
Mike: Perfect, hope that answers your question. I'm Mike Irving.
Jeff: And I'm Jeff Lander.
Mike: Come back, we're going to have some more videos for you.
