Trades Assistant / Store Person

We are looking for an energetic, team player and great communicator to join us as a Trade Assist / Store Person based in our Mt Isa branch.  This role will see you assist tradespeople, assist in maintaining the workshop and equipment.  You will also support the warehouse with receiving, picking, packing and dispatch of goods.

In your new role you will:

• Assist in the repair and servicing and testing of pumps and other Xylem products
• Wash down and spray paint pumps and equipment
• Receive, store, pack and dispatch goods in accordance with established policies and procedures, using supplied tools, packaging materials and machines
• Manage inventory following guidelines and procedures including labeling and locating parts, picking parts from appropriate locations in specified quantities
• Carry out shared housekeeping duties daily, including emptying bins and ensuring area is maintained
• Ensure that all equipment and tools are organised, safe and functional
• Complete deliveries and pick up of goods in a service vehicle

You will bring to the role:

• A driver’s licence and a forklift licence (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Computer skills and the ability to learn our software. ERP and Microsoft office package experience will be advantageous.
• A keen eye for detail and strong time management skills
• A customer service focus with excellent communication skills
• A great attitude and abilty to work as a team
