The Role

We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic, vibrant and motivated Key Account & Business Development Manager to join our high performing team. The Key Account Manager will be responsible for C suite and senior level relationships with major mining companies and EPC’s. In addition will be responsible in identification and development of high level business and project opportunities and be across the latest market trends and landscape.

Key Responsibilities

This rewarding role will see you travel throughout Australia and you could be based in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne or Perth! Working to develop high, wide and deep relationships with targeted Key Accounts you be responsible for:

  • Developing and maintaining C suite and senior level relationships with major Mining Key Accounts,
  • Developing and Maintaining Key Account Plans,
  • Working on strategic plan in liaison with Regional Managers & Xylem Mining Center of excellence for the Mining market and reports progress,
  • Identifying real growth opportunities and gaps in the market coverage,
  • Linking products and services to specific customer needs, articulating compelling value propositions differentiated from competitors,
  • Identifying and growing a strong pipeline of project opportunities
  • Prioritising new initiatives with existing or anticipated projects and appropriately allocating resources.

Profile

You will bring your knowledge and expertise in mining and ideally have an understanding of the Water industry.  To be successful in this role you will be an influencer, a negotiator and have the ability to communicate effectively across all levels within the business and with our customers.  You will be committed to achieving targets and have experience in marketing and sales, preferably in an engineering environment.  You will be passionate about increasing Xylem’s presence in the mining market and pitching Xylem as a total solutions provider.
