Xylem Launches Pump Manufacturing Site in Egypt

Xylem Launches Pump Manufacturing Site in Egypt

Plant will deliver innovative water solutions to customers across North Africa and beyond

Xylem and our regional partner, the Tiba Manzalawi Group, recently announced the opening of our new joint-venture manufacturing site in 10th of Ramadan City, outside Cairo. The Xylem Egypt Plant will provide industry-leading water solutions to Egypt, North Africa and across Africa. The launch comes a year after Xylem opened new regional offices in New Cairo, with a mission to bring innovative water solutions closer to North Africa, one of the most water-stressed areas in the world.

This factory is the first in Egypt to produce water pumps.

"We are very excited about launching the Xylem Egypt Plant,” says Vincent Chirouze, Managing Director, Xylem Africa. “Egypt has been a key Xylem market for over half a century, and we are honored to participate in the country's ongoing modernization projects, which are bringing new opportunities to its people and communities. This first phase continues our commitment and deep connections with Egypt, and we look forward to the next stages."

“Egypt is growing and modernizing into a leading 21st-century nation. When the need surfaced for more local capacity in the water solutions market, Tiba Manzalawi and Xylem already had the joint mindset and focus to make it happen. The Xylem Egypt Plant is a big first for us, showing that Egypt can manufacture world-class products for a renowned international brand such as Xylem, and it reinforces our commitment to the Egypt," says Shady Manzalawi, CEO at Tiba Manzalawi Group.
