The Role:

This position is responsible for incoming inspection of pump components to ensure the components meet drawing and customer requirements.

Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:

  • Inspects parts to ensure they meet drawing requirements with an emphasis on both accuracy and speed of inspection
  • Documents inspection by completing reports and logs
  • Follow and comply with safety standards
  • Participation in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities

Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year as a Quality Technician/Inspector or related experience.
  • Skills with use of mechanical gauging such as a micrometer, caliper, height stand, bore gauge, etc.
  • Able to read blueprints/drawings.
  • Proficient in Excel and Word
  • Analytical skills
  • Team player who can work efficiently and follow instructions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using a portable CMM or willing to learn.

Physical Demands:

  • Manual dexterity to operate intricate test equipment.
  • Must be able to regularly lift components of up to 25 lbs. throughout an 8-hour shift.
  • Requires good vision and ability to adjust focus.
  • Regularly required to stand, reach, bend, squat, push, pull and move about the facility throughout 8 hours shift.
  • Ability to work in areas involving heights, enclosed spaces, and near or above water.
  • Walk or stand at least 8+ hours per day.

  • Shop: Work with material handling equipment and hand tools.

Final compensation will be dependent on various factors such as location, qualifications, certifications, relevant work experience and other factors, consistent with applicable law.
