Reporting to the Engineering and Design Manager the Senior Process Design Engineer will take ownership for the overall process design and delivery of locally engineered solutions from concept to full detail design, including process commissioning to exceed customer expectations.

The Senior Process Design Engineer role will see you collaborate and support Xylem’s Bid, Projects, Sales and Service Teams for creation of local standard packages, engineered solutions and pre-tender technical advice. 

This challenging role based out of Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne will see you:

  • Provide process designs in a timely manner, ensuring designs are fit for purpose; cost effective, and in compliance with customer specifications, Xylem design guidelines, and relevant State, National and International codes and standards
  • Work throughout the design and project life cycle, from concept design to issue for construction and process commissioning. Produce design deliverables including PFD, P&ID, process calculations and equipment sizing, engineering lists, design reports, functional descriptions, commissioning plans, commissioning reports, training manuals and O&M manuals
  • Create and provide training package to clients and end users on installed treatment systems
  • Have a Continues Improvement (CI) focus to drive productivity improvements in the design process, as well as cost savings and operational improvements in the designed solutions
  • Manage projects including but not limited to engineered package solutions and end-to-end wastewater treatment plants incorporating Xylem’s comprehensive product range

Success in this role will require the ability to transfer customer requirements into detailed deigns and builds. You will have previous experience and knowledge working with Water or Wastewater and be degree qualified Chemical or Environmental Engineering.  You will be an influencer, a problem solver and have the ability to communicate effectively across all levels within the business and with our customers.
