Join Xylem's team for a virtual 'Hike4Her' event. 50% of girls in the world do not attend school and over 90% of women sacrifice income because today they will spend over 200 million hours collecting water – time that could be spent on education or earning income. We aim to raise awareness of this critical issue, and raise funds to support projects that will expand clean water and sanitation access for women. During the months of October and November, dozens of water ambassadors will be volunteering to tackle global water issues through educational events, cleaning local water sources and arranging litter picks.
