Pressure Sewage Systems

Grinder Pump Systems for Wastewater Management in Remote Residential Areas

A pressure sewage system (PSS) is a smart, economical alternative for wastewater management in remote or less accessible housing areas. Unlike traditional systems, PSS systems utilize small, pressurized discharge lines installed in shallow, narrow trenches following the natural contour of the ground. The pumps in the system grind solids to a smaller size so they can be easily transported through these compact lines.

The system consists of a network of small-diameter pipes and small pump stations situated near homes to collect and transport the wastewater. The wastewater from the PSS stations is then discharged to either a gravity sewer or a larger pump station for further transport to a wastewater treatment plant.

The PSS systems are highly versatile and can be scaled to accommodate various needs, from individual homes to large developments or entire communities. A small system may serve just a few households, while a large system can include hundreds or thousands of pump stations.

With decades of experience in designing PSS systems, we understand your challenges and needs. Together we can work with you to develop a dependable and cost-effective solution, addressing key aspects such as:

  • Designing the system, including calculating the number of pump stations, selecting pumps, and determining pipe size
  • Ensuring reliable and efficient operation
  • Providing user-friendly and economical solutions
