Solve Overflows by Optimizing Wastewater Networks

In recent years, with increase in storm activity, research has highlighted the significant dangers faced by communities, infrastructure and ecosystems. Rapid growth in urban areas has called for a proactive approach with managing combined sewer overflows.  Effective “best management practices” with contingency planning, strong community engagement and partnerships specifically experts with stormwater management for sanitary and combined sewer systems all come into play.

We will focus on how large pumping solutions, system engineering of urban watershed management techniques have helped built a resiliency platform, together with success stories and business models all which have helped cities strengthen contingency planning, minimize and recover from flood losses.

EXPECTED OUTCOME OF LEARNING:

Attendees will be provided best practices, our recently launched pump station design manual, a general overview of stormwater guidance and principles highlighting various technologies on methods to move forward with planning and design.

Attendees will also be provided the benefits of Wastewater Network Optimization, such as:

  • Reduction of costly gray infrastructure
  • Minimizing combined and separated sewer overflow volumes
  • Eliminate dry weather events
  • Up to 10X return on investment
