The Role: The Quality Technician is responsible for the inspection and verification activities required to maintain and improve our quality management systems, to assure our products meet or exceed customer’s requirements. 

Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspection and verification of products and processes, including, verification of customer orders, and receiving, in-process, and final inspection of products.
  • Perform verification and calibration of monitoring and measuring equipment and gauges. Responsible for maintaining calibration records.
  • Generate quality reports to document inspection and verification activities, including non-conforming material reports. Compile data and prepare reports of data trends.
  • Perform and document ISO internal audits.
  • Work with Quality Engineering to help identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • With assistance, develop work instructions for activities performed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Participation in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities

Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:

  • High School diploma/GED, plus a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Capable of reading and understanding mechanical, diagrams, schematics and other design-related documents.
  • Experience with using calibrated gages for inspection to drawing requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS or Associates Degree in Applied Science or related field.
