Director of Chemical Industry Business Vertical, Xylem

Kishor Nayar is the Director of the Chemical Industry Business Vertical at Xylem, where he leads commercial strategy and growth for Xylem’s global water treatment solutions serving chemical processing customers. In this role, he is accountable for a large business portfolio and supports customers in evaluating and deploying complex process solutions that improve water performance, reduce risk, and advance sustainability goals.

With more than a decade of experience at the intersection of water, energy, and industrial sustainability, Kishor brings a blend of technical depth and business leadership across process engineering solutions, go-to-market strategy, and complex project development. His work spans industrial water treatment, desalination and brine management, and emerging applications tied to energy transition and decarbonization.

Prior to joining Xylem, Kishor was a Technical Director at GHD, where he advised industrial clients globally on water and energy challenges and helped build and scale key accounts. Earlier in his career, he served as a postdoctoral associate at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and pursued entrepreneurial ventures focused on commercializing water and energy technologies.

Kishor holds a PhD and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a B.Tech (Honors) in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. He is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas.
