The Role: This position would be responsible for providing overall global financial support for achieving performance goals (i.e. revenue, operating margins, EBITDA margins, operating cash flow, working capital, etc.)  Assists the Sr. Director as required with Xylem’s consolidation of financials, monthly reporting requirements, earnings support, and prepares special ad hoc financial analysis and presentations for management. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supports the overall forecast and budget for Xylem and Xylem HQ functions through understanding of the revenue, margins, expenses, capital, special projects, headcount, etc. ensuring clear understanding of all variances and critical evaluation of input. (Key result: All variances from forecast, budget and prior year can be adequately explained, and improvements that can be made to enhance future forecast accuracy).
  • Prepares the monthly/quarterly/annual reporting requirements for headquarter functions and Senior Leaders
  • Participates in the support of the earnings deliverables
  • Will help in developing the board material and ad-hoc analysis related to the board material
  • Ad-hoc analysis as needed

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Monthly analysis for senior leaders on financials
  • Project Tracking
  • Alignment of Fcst/Budget/AOP with Functional Leaders
  • Financial modeling
  • GDP Support
  • Ad hoc reporting

Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or financial/accounting with 3-5 years of business experience
  • Must have a working knowledge of United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (“US GAAP).
  • Must have the ability to engage business process owners in a direct yet professional manner, thoroughly evaluate business processes, and quickly identify potential control gaps.
  • Requires demonstrated skill in written and oral communications and interview skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and OneStream skills.
  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized. Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $88,000 to $98,000 plus bonus. At Xylem, it is not typical for an individual to start at the top end of the range for the role however compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. We offer a generous benefit package, including Medical, Dental, Vision plans, 401(k) with company contribution, paid time off, paid parental leave and tuition reimbursement.
