Sontek Welcomes New Senior Applications Engineer

SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA — JUNE 17TH, 2014

SonTek is pleased to announce the appointment of Daniel Wagenaar as Senior Applications Engineer, working out of the Xylem – San Diego location.

Daniel comes to SonTek from Department of Resource Management in Darwin, Australia where he worked as a Manager of Water Monitoring Systems, responsible for the design of business process frame works and the development of operational standards, quality assurance systems and training programs in both Hydrographic and Hydrogeology fields.  Before that, Daniel worked as a Technical Manager at the Department of Water Affairs, South Africa, where he managed all technical operations of a hydrographic network consisting of over 120 gauging stations.  Daniel holds degrees in both Water Engineering and Geohydrology.

Daniel will coordinate application-related efforts within SonTek’s Product Management team, and provide external support on acoustic Doppler products to customers in the field.  His expertise in performing scientific research and developing Doppler measurement standards for government agencies will be a valuable addition to the already notable technical staff at SonTek.
