Serving the Houston Area with Love
Cathodic Protection (CP) projects have taken Steve Love to remote parts of the world on a mission to safeguard energy pipelines from corrosion. Now, Steve is on a new adventure — relocating to Houston, Texas to support PureHM’s growing CP business in the United States.
Steve Love, PureHM Project Manager, has worked in the oil and gas sector for over 20 years. Today, Steve is passing his knowledge on to a new generation of field technicians and supporting PureHM’s end-to-end CP service offering.
CP systems protect metallic pipelines from corrosion, a serious threat that can lead to major leaks and failures when left unchecked.
At PureHM, Steve works on all facets of CP systems – design and installation, sourcing quality materials, and conducting annual surveys and system repairs.
Steve is currently working on a multibillion-dollar pipeline expansion project – the largest that will likely happen his lifetime, he says. The pipeline owner is committed to making the pipeline as safe and technologically advanced as possible. Protecting this important asset from corrosion is key to the project’s long-term success.
Steve is part of PureHM’s team of NACE-trained corrosion experts. Learning from his colleagues and sharing his expertise motivates him daily.
“The most rewarding aspect of my job is passing on my knowledge and using my experience to benefit our clients and our technicians in the field,” says Steve.
Steve trains PureHM’s field technicians and uses his many years of on-the-job training to troubleshoot challenges and help onsite work run smoothly.
With his relocation, Steve is looking forward to helping clients in the U.S. market find new and exciting solutions to their most pressing CP challenges.
