The Role: Business Development and Engineering Intern. Work with the business development team to help with sales/marketing/client management responsibilities.

Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:

  • Working under the direction of experienced design staff, with detailed instructions
  • Perform routine calculations and design as directed
  • Produce electro-mechanical assembly or testing documentation
  • Support the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering teams with assembly and testing of new and existing products
  • Shadow our engineering team to understand the core activities of the business.
  • Network with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Participation in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities

Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:

  • Preference is a for an undergrad student involved in Business and Engineering degree programs.
  • Fluency in written/spoken English as well as strong expertise in MS office products. Marketing/Design experience is considered an asset as well
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills required
  • Has self-starter and results-oriented approach to work
  • Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple work tasks
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to confidently interact with all levels within the organization
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and take initiative
  • Exhibits a strong ability to solve problems
  • The ideal candidate has a collaborative attitude, thrives in a high paced environment and is not afraid to think outside the box.
  • Must be able to work for an 8-month term
