Outsmart water with the Godwin NC150S Dri-PrimeĀ® Pump, a Xylem brand

September 29, 2020

JOHANNESBURG, SA – Xylem South Africa is proud to highlight the new Godwin NC150S Dri-Prime® Pump, a successor to a pump family that has set the standard for dewatering.

Dewatering, particularly wastewater such as fibrous, stringy sewage, can be very demanding and fraught with unwanted surprises. This is why Godwin and Xylem combined the world’s most reliable portable pumps with the world’s most efficient self-cleaning hydraulics. The new NC150S incorporates feedback from customers and data from hundreds of field tests to deliver a smart best-in-class pump with new levels of control, efficiency and environmental protection. Without a doubt, no matter what the challenge – temporary, permanent or an emergency – you will always have the peace of mind knowing that your Godwin NC150S Dri-Prime® Pump is on the job.

“It’s tough to follow up on a proven and much-loved hit, but our ethos at Xylem is to always do things better and smarter,” said SPOKESPERSON at Xylem South Africa. “So our engineers reimagined the Godwin NC150S Dri-Prime Pump to have better fuel economy and require less maintenance. But it’s the ease of operation that makes this a truly smart pump.”

Smart tech for remote operations

Deploying a pump in variable conditions is one thing, operating it quite another. It’s not always convenient to check fuel levels or performance, particularly at remote sites or during events such as downpours. The Godwin NC150S Dri-Prime® Pump puts all that in the palm of your hand, literally, with a smart app that can access the pump’s features. No matter where you are, with a connected device using Godwin’s Field Smart Technology (FST)1 you can securely and confidently check up on the pump and know it is doing its job.

An industry first, Godwin FST works on any modern smart device, laptop or PC, enabling both remote monitoring and control. Using onboard cellular and satellite connectivity, and GPS, FST can track, monitor and communicate with multiple pumps from one device, in real-time. It might be travelling to a location or working hard on a remote site - with FST you are always in control. And, yes, FST can send real-time monitoring alerts to update you on any changes, problems or progress.

Low maintenance, high performance

The NC150S is just as effective and reliable when running autonomously. The built-in intelligent control panel provides a wide range of critical information. It enables automatic operation, minimising manual monitoring and stopping the pump in case of engine failure and other problems.

Such oversight features are complemented by reduced local interventions, such as maintenance. Xylem and Godwin have put their reputation for low-maintenance, high-performance products to work. The NC150S is a true workhorse that can simultaneously prioritise performance and value.

The NC150S features a unique, self-cleaning non-clog impeller that handles waste known to stall other pumps. The new belt tensioning system and seal housing sight glass reduces service time, and the pump operates on Flygt N-Technology, used for over 20 years in 300,000+ locations, for sustained hydraulic efficiency. It features a simple 30-minute belt change and easy release driver coupling, as well as a redesigned hydraulics and non-return valve, new cartridge mechanical seals, and greased bearings.

A new level of efficiency

The Godwin NC150S Dri-Prime® Pump’s efficiencies translate into 20% more proven reliability, 10% less fuel consumption, and 40% less service time. Using Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC) technology, it is also more environmentally-friendly than other pumps. We offer different electrical and diesel engine choices to help meet regional emissions and environmental legislation. The NC150S can provide up to 90% less emissions2.

Stop wasting time and money with inefficient mobile pumps that require regular maintenance and constant physical oversight, yet offer little back in value, performance and green credentials. The Godwin NC150S Dri-Prime® Pump from Xylem is the new benchmark and a rugged smart appliance suited to modern requirements, no matter where it’s needed.
