Since swimming pools and shower facilities are important considerations when campers are selecting a destination, StoneyBrook Estates Campground wanted to ensure that its 30,000-gallon swimming pool and shower house were functioning effectively and efficiently.

To solve the groundwater problems, the EAA and United States Agency for International Development created the Pyramids Plateau Groundwater Lowering Project. Hydrotech evaluated the project and selected Xylem’s Goulds Water Technology products as the best solution for the groundwater problem.

Xylem’s passion for solving domestic water challenges begins with innovative pump concepts, design and engineering work at the company’s facility in Seneca Falls, New York. As part of the design process, engineers explore virtually every possible use of these highly technical devices.

In response to the community’s water crisis, WWT’s Executive Director Margaret Martens and Susan O’Grady, Xylem Director of Marketing, Residential and Agriculture, joined forces to develop an effective and lasting solution for the subdivision’s water needs.

Agriculture is by far the largest user of water – up to 70% of all fresh water consumption is for irrigation. Water has many other agricultural purposes such as washing stations, misters, or drinking water for livestock. In fact, horses consume up to 15 gallons of water per day.
