Water events calendar 2014

Whether you are interested in new products, making contacts or learning about new trends in the water and wastewater industries, there are a number of events and trade shows worth paying attention to in 2014. Here are a few of Impeller’s picks for this year.

WEX Global Summit 2014
Madrid, Spain, February 25-27

The Water and Energy Exchange’s flagship event for the water and energy sectors attended by delegates from more than 40 countries in 2013. This business-to-business event seeks to bring together leading water and energy professionals from every part of the globe to share best practices, expertise and business opportunities. This year’s theme is Managing Energy in a Water Constrained World.

Pittcon
Chicago, Illinois, March 2-6
Pittcon is the world’s largest annual conference and exposition on laboratory science. Each year, Pittcon attracts more than 18,000 attendees from industry, academia and government from 90 countries worldwide. Visit Xylem at booth 4231. Read about the products Xylem launched here in 2013.

World Water-Tech Investment Summit
London, United Kingdom, March 10-12

The WWIS brings together some of the most influential figures in the global water industry to share ideas and lead discussion sessions on the opportunities in today’s water market. One of the speakers at this year’s event is Andre Dhawan, President of Xylem EMEA. Read more about the keynote panel he will take part in.

Aquatech
Orlando, Florida, March 18-21
Delhi, India, May 6-8
Shanghai, China, June 25-27
Three Aquatech events are taking place this year, in the U.S., India and China. These regional events are set to follow on the success of last year’s Aquatech Amsterdam – the largest trade show in Europe solely dedicated to water. The next Aquatech Amsterdam is scheduled for November 2015. Read more about the show in Florida.

IFAT
Munich, Germany, May 5-9
The world’s largest environmental technology trade show, IFAT will be even bigger in 2014 with 15,000 more square meters of exhibition space than in 2012. Around 3,000 companies from 50 countries will be exhibiting here. You can find Xylem in booths A6.439/538 and A3.420.

Singapore International Water Week
Singapore, June 1-5
The Singapore International Water Week (SIWW) is a global platform for sharing innovative water solutions. Stakeholders from the global water industry gather at SIWW to network and showcase the latest water technologies. Xylem is a founding partner of SIWW. ECWATECH 2014
Moscow, Russia, June 3-6
The leading water technology exhibition in Russia, the CIS and Eastern Europe. The 2012 edition attracted more than 800 exhibitors from 31 countries, making it the largest water/wastewater event in Central and Eastern Europe. Xylem Russia will be exhibiting at booth 14E1.

World Water Week
Stockholm, Sweden, August 21 – September 5
Hosted and organized by the Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI), World Water Week has been one of the annual focal points for the globe’s water issues since 1991. Every year the event draws some 200 collaborating organizations, as well as individuals from around the globe who present their findings at a series of scientific workshops. Xylem sponsors both the Stockholm Water Prize and the Stockholm Junior Water Prize.

IWA World Water Congress & Exhibition
Lisbon, Portugal, September 21-26
The International Water Association (IWA) organizes its high-profile IWA World Water Congress and Exhibition every two years. This year’s event is expected to attract more than 5,000 water professionals from around the world. Xylem and the International Water Association (IWA) recently signed a sponsorship agreement for the 2014 World Water Congress in Lisbon.

WEFTEC 2014
New Orleans, Louisiana, September 27 – October 1
The Water Environment Federation’s Annual Technical Exhibition and Conference is the largest conference of its kind in North America. Its expansive water quality exhibition provides its 20,000+ attendees with access to some of the most cutting-edge technologies in the field. In 2013, Xylem launched a number of new products at WEFTEC.
