Aqua 365: Innovation for Water

Aqua365 was born as an innovation challenge for College/University students who wish to resolve and commit themselves to different specific problems regarding water in vulnerable communities. It is an opportunity to search for innovative, replicable and scalable solutions for different communities throughout the national territory. In this 2022 version, the problem of 2 communities will be resolved, one in the Biobío Region and the other in the Metropolitan Region.

Join the Xylem Global Student Innovation Challenge 2022!

Students aged 13 to 25 are invited to create projects that tackle one of the world’s most pressing environmental challenges: water. This 8-week virtual #hackathon will offer access to informative webinars and mentoring by leading water experts to develop projects addressing issues such as water equity and net zero emissions. Students of all experience levels are encouraged to participate!

Students will be in the running for 8 cash prizes from the $20,000 prize pool, including $5,000 grand prizes for the top secondary (high school) and tertiary (university) projects.

RE-NEW Our World Innovation Challenge 2022

This challenge calls for students aged 8-18 in the UAE to ideate novel innovative solutions tackling a water issue of their choice (water scarcity, water pollution, water access) locally or globally. Participants seek support from their teachers, mentors and attend online innovation workshops.

HackEscolar Silabuz 2021

On July 24th, 2021, Xylem partnered with Silabuz (www.silabuz.com), to sponsor Hack – Escolar, one of the largest school innovation contests in Latin America. Due to COVID-19 the event was 100% virtual and students from across Latin America were challenged to demonstrate their digital talent, creativity and apply their coding knowledge to water issues that are affecting the Latam region today. These problems include education, water scarcity and pollution. Xylem were involved as mentors and judges, and will hold 3 master classes and mentroships during the training for the contest for students to learn more. More than 250 registered for the event from across Peru, Chile, Ecuador, Mexico and Colombia.
