THE ROLE:
The Export Sales Assistant is the first customer contact and support for standard products.

The SA is responsible for the complete order process from lead time quotation to shipment release.

Essential Duties:

Order process:

  • Order entry
  • Available To Promise check and negotiation with operations for the best possible lead time
  • Provide the customer with a number of information regarding shipment, volumes, costs, transportation options and other details to define an agreed shipment plan
  • Letter of credit (LC) analysis and verification of feasibility with other departments (documents, shipping instructions, due dates, etc…)
  • Coordination with internal shipping team to plan shipments based on volumes, payments, credit and/or other requirements (ex. Inspection, vessel departure dates)
  • Delays-postponement handling which includes system update and communicating to customer
  • Managing customer’s request on how to improve lead time
  • Sending to Customers shipping docs + ship details (tracking, awb, etc)

Other duties:

  • Standard quotations (price and lead time )
  • Customer account  and price discount structure maintenance
  • Organization of pre-shipment inspections (requests to Inspection authorities and documents handling  - Ex SASO)
  • Certificate of Origin, VISA (invoices)
  • Technical support for simple requests and spare parts
  • Notifications of discrepancy on shipment
  • Credit notes requests
  • Support Area Manager for small reports regarding orders and backlog

Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma (commercial )  with  knowledge of at least 2 foreign languages: English & French or Russian ( English mandatory) 
  • 3-5 years experience in similar roles
