What is the Wave of Action?

The Wave of Action is Xylem Watermark’s global call to action, inviting people around the world to take part in meaningful water-focused activities that support communities and ecosystems.

March 22 through May 22

Beginning on World Water Day (March 22), this year’s Wave of Action extends across two months, offering more opportunities to engage through local events, virtual sessions, and skills-based volunteering. Activities are centered around three impact areas: Protecting Water Resources, Resilient WASH Access, and Education and Capacity Building.

No matter where you are or how much time you have, there’s a way to participate and contribute to lasting impact.

Participate or organize volunteer events centered around our three pillars: 

• Protecting Water Resources: Clean ups, plogging, plantings, & water monitoring
• Resilient WASH Access: Build water towers, filter builds, and hygiene kits
• Education & Capacity Building: Share water books, teach WASH & football, raise awareness
