Role at Xylem

Sai Allavarpu is Xylem’s Chief Digital Officer charged with Xylem’s digital strategy and creating a digital platform for Xylem customers and communities. In this role, Sai works closely with innovation, technology and commercial leaders across Xylem – and outside Xylem with customers and communities – to create a unified digital strategy. He is also working to grow and empower Xylem’s pipeline of digital talent, both those colleagues already with Xylem and those for the future.

Sai is a global digital business executive and intrapreneur who has grown digital businesses through customer-centric innovation. He has led and accelerated strategic transformations and the critical change management needed for transforming business models, building organizations and creating digital platforms by harnessing advanced and disruptive computing technologies, including but not limited to cloud, data, AI, IoT and more. 

Professional Background

Sai joined Xylem in 2022 and has more than 25 years of business leadership, products and innovation experience in diverse markets (industrials, healthcare, energy and more), including:

  • General Manager and Vice President at Danaher, where he led enterprise strategy and initiatives to advance digital growth and innovation across diverse end markets
  • Chief Product Officer at Honeywell, where he advanced strategy, products and platforms for connected (IoT) solutions and data analytics 
  • Earlier in his career, Sai held leadership roles in strategic planning, product management, marketing, software engineering and strategic alliances at NComputing, Citrix Systems, Hewlett Packard and Sun Microsystems (now Oracle)
