The Smith-Blair 477 Pipe-Lock Sleeve is a fabricated steel sleeve designed for use with MJ gaskets and restraints. This coupling sleeve weldment is engineered for connecting plain end ductile iron and plain end PVC pipe, providing a reliable joining solution for water and wastewater applications.

The sleeve is manufactured from ASTM A283 Gr. C or Carbon Steel having a minimum yield strength of 30,000 PSI, ensuring structural integrity and long-term performance. The coupling features a Flexi-Coat® Fusion-Bonded Epoxy finish that provides superior corrosion protection and extends the service life of the product in demanding environments.

The 477 Pipe-Lock Sleeve accommodates nominal pipe sizes from 3" through 48" and is suitable for use with PVC, ductile iron, and steel pipe. Working pressure ratings vary by pipe size: 350 PSI for 3" - 16" sizes, 250 PSI for 18" - 24" sizes, 225 PSI for 30" & 36" sizes, 160 PSI for 42" sizes, and 140 PSI for 48" sizes, making it versatile for various system pressure requirements.
