The 482 cast line cap features a ductile iron sleeve manufactured to ASTM A-536 specifications, with ends that have smooth inside taper for uniform gasket seating. Gaskets are made of Nitrile (Buna N) certified to NSF®/ANSI 61-G, compounded to produce superior storage and performance characteristics while resisting water, acids, alkalies, most aliphatic hydrocarbons and many other chemicals, with a temperature range of -20°F to 180°F. Follower flanges are constructed of ductile iron ASTM A536, designed for high strength/weight ratio. Bolts and nuts are high-strength, low alloy steel with heavy, semi-finished hexagon nuts, with optional stainless steel and carbon steel ASTM A307 electro-galvanized with di-chromate seal. The product features a Flexi-Coat® Fusion-Bonded Epoxy Finish.
The 482 cast line cap supports working pressure up to 250 PSI and is suitable for cast iron, PVC, and steel pipe applications.
