Communities around the world are facing a growing storm. In the municipality of Vlaardingen, rainwater and wastewater are processed by more than seventy pumping stations, six of which are large, dry-installed main pumping stations and a large number of subsidiary and mini-pumping stations. Supervision is the responsibility of Xylem, which means that the Vlaardingen maintenance department receives a weekly overview of all relevant events.
