Planet Earth - Planet Water
Water is present in everything. And at the same time, everything is connected and circulates. Life is a great cycle where water runs through us to quench our thirst, to make the forests sigh, to feed us, and so much more. In Australia and New Zealand, water sustains our vibrant ecosystems, nourishes our unique wildlife, and supports our communities. Water is life that flows across earth's surface.
The Molecule
Did you know? The water molecules bond together through a force called hydrogen bonds. These bonds are what make water so special and allow many phenomena in nature, the human body, and industrial processes. Water changes state when these bonds form or break.
A water world
Water can contain a large amount of dissolved substances, acting as a vehicle for nutrients, salts, and microorganisms. It can also carry harmful substances like contaminants or toxic compounds.
Potable water
Potable water is safe for drinking because it is clean and free of harmful substances. It has no smell, flavor, or color, and should not contain minerals, chemical compounds, or pathogens.
Return water to water
The water that you and your family consume, that used by factories, and many more, must be returned to nature CLEAN. For that, it must go through several processes to eliminate polluting substances and thus the water cycle repeats itself over and over again.
Sustainability. What is it really?
You can become the new water guardian. From brushing your teeth to the food that you choose; everything has an impact on the water around you. Sustainability is that, taking care of water today, and thus future generations will also be able to use it.
